Lauren Cater is a filmmaker and  educator located in Dallas, Texas.  She grew up in Texas and received a BA in Radio, TV, Film and an MFA in Documentary Production and Studies at the University of North Texas.

 

After completing her MFA, Lauren worked as an Associate Professor of Film Production at Middle Georgia State University until relocating back to Texas.

Lauren's work has been featured at several film festivals and aired on PBS. In addition, her films have been used in schools and universities as teaching aids.​

Currently, Lauren works as a Video Producer at Dallas College and continues to take on freelance work.
